Musée de l’Orangerie
We visited the Musée de l’Orangerie on the recommendation of a relative, and I went not knowing what to expect. What a hidden gem!
It is tucked into a corner of the Tuileries Gardens, not far from the Louvre and the Place de la Concorde. It displays Monet’s waterlilies in light, airy, circular galleries that were designed specifically for the large canvases. You are immersed in them.
