Pushing a Mac Pro

It takes a bit to push a computer to it computational limits. Particularly a professional computer with many many computational cores. With this in mind, I was pleased to see my Mac Pro’s processing capacity limiting the encoding of my films.

I am currently crushing down the size of a collection of past films using the excellent HandBrake. The size reductions are dramatic and the quality drop is more than acceptable.

Video continues to be one place where more power is needed.
