There is something delightful about someone’s name matching the way they spend their time. Art Dereka is an Australian artist and a mother of a friend. She is dipping her toe into the online world and has started a web site.

I particularly like Art’s painting of a Waratah flower; it evokes Australia for me and the flowers Megan was given shortly before we left Melbourne.

Exhibiting and selling on the Internet is tough. The physical barriers are gone and now anyone can view, comment on, and buy your work. What is unseen by many is the effort require to be noticed, to attract an audience, to gain trust, and to get that first sale from an unseen customer.
