Paroisse Catholique du Saint Nom de Jesus

One of our new food markets sits next to Paroisse Catholique du Saint Nom de Jesus. This Roman Catholic church is surrounded by mainly residential buildings in 6ème, Lyon.

It was a bright day, we had enjoyed a rare success at the prefecture, and the door was open. The layout of the church is simple, constrained by the regular block of land it sits on, and entirely visible immediately on entry. The light streaming in through the beautiful double rows of stained glass was stunning.

I hope to see this church lit from within one dark evening. If I can find a good vantage point, I suspect the stained glass will delight.
