A Cruise Along Gordon River

When planning our trip, taking a cruise to see the Gordon River had been highly recommended. Gordon River is part of a World Heritage Site and a stunning part of Tasmania’s wilderness.

We happened to be in Strahan for the first day of the Eagle’s latest touring season. The Eagle is the name of the vessel we would be joining.

During the half day cruise we saw Hells Gates, a commercial salmon farm, had a guided tour of Sarah Island, and travelled up a short stretch of the Gordon River.
