Technicentre de Lyon
It is not often you get a chance to clamber around a TGV, watch trains lifted off their tracks, and see inside the maintenance buildings. The TGV is France’s high speed train.
Italian Market
Large rounds of cheese and cured meats are not an uncommon sight in Lyon’s markets, but today they were of the Italian variety.
9e Défilé de la Biennale de la danse de Lyon
Last Sunday, we joined hundreds of others to watch a parade of floats and dancers in Lyon. I had fun taking photos and making a short film.
Freebox, Ports, and Sockets
As with any Internet related choice, I wanted to know what we would get and what it would look like. At the time, I could not find what I wanted. So I am fixing that with my own free.fr Freebox photos. These photos show all the sockets on the back of the two Freebox devices.
First Guests
It has been a while since we visited Les Halles de Lyon. This notable food hall is a wonderful example of why Lyon has its reputation for food.
Drip, Drip, Dripping
Within seconds, the hidden drips emerged becoming a pitter-patter of water cascading down from the tiles onto my desk. Water falling just above an array of power cables, sockets, and electrics.
Lyon at Night
Last night we ventured out around ten o’clock. The temperature had dropped to 30°C and the air was absolutely dry with no breeze. I took my camera and we went for an amble.
Strawberries, Strawberries, Everywhere
Since my first wild strawberry discovery earlier in the summer, they seem to have popped up all over the place.
Market Bounty
Wednesday morning. It’s an odd point in the week to look forward to, but Wednesday mornings hold one of my favourite moments of the week.
Poppy Progression
Near the bee nesting boxes in the Parc de la Tête d’Or, there is a field. What first appeared to be an unremarkable patch of grass, has undergone the most amazing transformation over the past few months.
